Programs for Children
Sunday School & Nursery
The Nursery is located upstairs in the Church School
wing in room # 6. Nursery care is available for both our second service
at 9:15 AM and our 3rd service at 10:45 AM. The Nursery is open for children
ages birth to 2 years if the toddler turns 2 after September 1st 2007.
Children begin in church with their parents at the 10:45 service. After the opening hymn, they gather with the priest around the altar for a brief children’s sermon, and then exit with their teachers to Sunday School.
“Seasons of the Spirit” is an international lectionary-based church school curriculum that builds strong faith communities by centering the ministries of Christian education, worship and service around common scriptures each week. In addition, the children receive a weekly publication “The Sunday Paper” for both you and your child to enjoy.
- Level I is for our younger children. The class will be held in room #8 and led by Nicolette Kirner and Brittany Chengeri. In addition to hearing the Bible story for the day, reinforced with some age appropriate questions, learning the day’s Scripture Verse, the class will also have an opportunity for open play and fellowship.
- Level II is located in classroom # 9. Heather Melody and Lori O’Hara will lead this class with aides, Emily Perry and Kaitlin Conte. In addition to their lesson, the children will learn how to read and use their Bibles, learn Scripture verses, answer questions which reinforce their understanding and solidify their lesson by creative means. There will also be time to enjoy fellowship.
- Level III is held in Classroom #7. This class is co-taught by Michael Ecsedy, David Williams and Janet Franklin. The children will continue to use their Bibles and will become more proficient in the Bible as they continue to explore God’s Word apply it to their lives with the help of the Holy Spirit. Like all the classes, there is Scripture memory to reinforce the lesson.

First Holy Communion Class
Classes for First Holy Communion are held in the early spring, and last for five weeks. Typically, we hold the classes immediately after the last Sunday morning service, and First Communion Sunday is the Sunday before Palm Sunday. Classes will be announced well in advance.

Vacation Bible School
For one week each summer in mid-July, Saint Paul’s is transformed
into something new (a tropical paradise, a dude ranch, a science lab)
and we reach out to the community with the message of Jesus’ love.
One of our most popular ministries, extra hands are always needed—from
making snacks to shepherding small groups of children.
