We Believe:
Creation

God loved into creation – the universe, earth, humanity. It was diverse, and it was good. Human sin entered and distorted our relationship with God, one another, and creation. God yearns to make all whole again. This is God’s mission.

Providence

God chose and liberated a people, sent the law and the prophets. God came in Jesus, fully human and fully divine. In Jesus’ life, death and resurrection we are restored to unity with God and each other. God sent the Holy Spirit, empowering the Body of Christ.

Reconciliation

God co-missions us in baptism to participate in God’s mission of restoration and reconciliation.

Triune God

We believe in one God, who is a Trinity of Persons. We believe the First Person of the Trinity, traditionally called Father, is the Creator and Sustainer of all life from the beginning of time. We believe in Jesus, the Second Person of the Trinity, and traditionally called the Son. Jesus walked the earth as middle-eastern Jewish male over 2000 years ago. He was a rabbi, a teacher, who called people to follow him in the Way of Love. Jesus was crucified by Imperial Rome, died, and was buried. After three days, he rose again. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit dwells within us; inviting, encouraging, and calling us to follow the Way of Love as personified in the work and teachings of Jesus.

The Universal Church

We believe the Church, the body and bride of Christ, is a living spiritual organism, comprised of all regenerated persons in ages past, present, and future. The Church began at Pentecost and believers are placed into the Church by the baptizing work of the Holy Spirit.

The Local Church

We believe the local Church is an assembly of professed believers in Jesus Christ who are voluntarily joined together in one locality for the purpose of worship, study of the Word of God, the celebration of sacred rites, Christian fellowship, equipping for and practice of kingdom service, and specifically dedicating our lives for the purpose of fulfilling the Great Commission.
